Go into the big people’s garden, gather four or five nasturtium blossoms, rinse and let air dry. Make a batter of flour and cold spring water. While the nasturtium dry and the batter is being mixed, bring out the big iron kettle. Fill half-way with sunflower oil and heat. When a drop of water skitters across the top of oil it is ready to fry. Lightly batter a blossom, shake off excess batter, and put in oil. Boil till light brown, flip and boil other side. Remove, salt lightly with hickory salt. Proceed with rest of blossoms and serve.

This is a recipe for little critters, not people or pets!
