In late fall: Grind wheat berries to flour, find juniper or grape berries with white powder on them( this is the yeast for the sourdough).

Place 3 acorn cups wheat, 3 acorn cups water in very clean clay pot. Cover. Let sit for 4 to 6 days. Keep warm. Add juniper berries and let sit (keep warm but not hot). Let sit till bubbly. The starter is ready to use for sourdough bread! Remember, this is a recipe for little critters!
